Two departments coordinate to provide 2000 sets of relief shelter for disaster areas of the Xigaze earthquake in Tibet

Pengpai News (www.thepaper.cn) learned from the Emergency Management Department that on January 8th, in response to the need for disaster relief work in the 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Dingri County, Tibet, and given the special circumstances of the high altitude and cold climate in the disaster area, the National Office for Prevention and Mitigation of Disasters and the Emergency Management Department coordinated Qinghai and Sichuan provinces, as well as the Chinese Red Cross Society, Duxiaoman, New Sunshine Foundation, and other organizations to provide 2,000 sets of disaster relief prefabricated houses to the earthquake-affected areas in Xigaze City. The Xigaze City Earthquake Relief Command has established a special working group to coordinate site leveling, prefabricated house receipt, construction and installation, as well as subsequent work to resettle the masses to ensure that the affected people can spend a safe and warm winter.
