Conference on Promoting the Construction of High-skilled Talents Team in Shanghai: Focusing on Building a Pyramid-shaped Talent Echelon
The Conference on Promoting the Construction of High-skilled Talents in Shanghai was held on January 9th. Zhu Zhongming, deputy secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, attended the conference and delivered a speech.
Zhu Zhongming pointed out that it is necessary to follow the deployment requirements of the central and municipal committees, deepen the reform of the construction of industrial worker teams, and promote the construction of high-skilled talents in Shanghai to a new level through joint efforts from all parties. It is necessary to continue to build a solid foundation of common ideas, strengthen theoretical equipment and party building guidance, vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, and ensure that industrial worker teams remain steadfastly committed to the party and strive with the party. It is also necessary to continue to expand the team of high-skilled talents, strengthen modern vocational education, focus on large-scale short-term training, and strive to build a talent pyramid. It is important to continuously stimulate the main force to take on responsibilities, vigorously carry out achievements at their posts, further standardize and improve the system of worker congresses and public disclosure of factory affairs, fully mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity of industrial workers, and compete to be leaders and vanguard teams. It is also necessary to continue to strengthen comprehensive service guarantees, establish and improve the salary distribution system for skilled talents, strengthen safety production and labor protection, and continuously enhance the sense of gain, happiness, and security of industrial worker teams.
Zheng Gangmiao, vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee and chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, presided over the meeting. Representatives from the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee for Economic and Information Technology, the Municipal Education Commission, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, as well as representatives of “Shanghai Craftsman” Yu Shirui, Zhang Lei, and Jin Yanqing, made speeches for exchange. The conference also awarded honors to winners of the “Shanghai Craftsman” and the 36th Shanghai Excellent Invention Selection Competition in 2024, and named a new batch of city-level labor model innovation studios and craftsman innovation studios.
