Since its opening in July 2024, the “Pyramid Summit: Ancient Egyptian Civilization Exhibition” has continued to attract a wave of enthusiastic visitors, making tickets hard to get. The exhibition will continue until August 2025.

“It is evident that Chinese audiences have a strong interest in the exchange and mutual learning of world civilizations,” said Chu Xiaobo. He revealed that the Shanghai Museum will take corresponding measures to meet the needs of visitors in the future. For instance, during the Spring Festival holiday, additional night sessions will be opened and opening hours will be extended to allow more visitors, particularly those from other provinces touring Shanghai, to have the opportunity to see the exhibition. At the same time, Chu Xiaobo advised people to try to avoid peak viewing times during summer vacation, weekends, and holidays.

Furthermore, some netizens have expressed their concern that they can’t fully understand the exhibits while visiting in a hurry. In response to this, Chu Xiaobo stated that many Chinese audiences are not familiar with some of the history of ancient Egypt. Therefore, the Shanghai Museum has increased its investment in self-service navigation systems and strengthened manual interpretation services, which can be easily rented. He also reminded viewers that if they have time, they should do some research before visiting the exhibition, which will definitely enhance their experience.
